Our three-step grant process

    Audit & Assess

We start by understanding your current position and potential. This includes a diagnostic review of:

    - Your grant history and experience, strategic and planning processes

    - Your ambition and funding priorities, internal capabilities and resourcing

We also draw on our proprietary database of more than 5,000 historical Australian grant programs to benchmark your context, assess likely fit, and identify patterns that will shape a strong, forward-looking strategy.

This stage gives us a clear view of where you are now, and what needs to shift to make grants a successful part of your business model.

    Funding Strategy

This is the heart of our work, developing a tailored funding strategy that integrates with your broader goals, and positions you to act quickly when grant programs open.

    We help you:

    - Identify the types of grants that best support your long-term direction

    - Clarify your funding narrative, what you want to do, why it matters, and how it aligns with government priorities

    - Develop decision frameworks and workflows so your team can assess and respond to opportunities with confidence

This phase also focuses on internal capability development. We’ll work with you to build the right mix of skills, systems and resourcing, whether through light-touch support or mentoring a dedicated in-house role. The goal is to make grant-seeking a repeatable, confident process that’s not dependent on external cycles.

    Delivery

This phase is where your funding strategy turns into action, not just through immediate applications, but by embedding the systems, habits and roles needed to sustain it over time.

    We support you to:

    - Identify and pursue live grant opportunities with high potential for success

    - Develop strong, funder-aligned applications that clearly articulate your priorities and outcomes

    - Establish internal processes to monitor grant programs, including assigning ownership, setting check-in cycles

We also help you build a grant pipeline framework, linked to your strategic roadmap. That means when new grants emerge, your team already knows:

    - What future projects are funding-ready

    - Which criteria have the strongest/weakest alignment (e.g. policy, timing, investment, research, delivery capacity)

    - How to assess fit, and respond quickly with confidence

Throughout this phase, we focus on capability transfer. We don’t just do the work, we coach your team to understand the 'why' and 'how', so grant-seeking becomes a natural extension of your planning cycle.
